StudioBudgeBudge
Studio BudgeBudge is a British design studio based in Dorset – a creative collaboration between siblings Belinda Budge, textile maker, and Patrick Budge, graphic designer.
From our studio in rural Dorset, we draw inspiration from the land around us – the chalk paths, the walnut trees, the shifting patterns of the fields, and the ever–changing edge of the sea. Each project begins with observation and evolves through making: walking, drawing, dyeing, weaving, and printing.
As siblings and collaborators, we bring together our distinct practices – Belinda’s deep connection to material and mark, and Patrick’s passion for typography, colour, and design. Our work moves fluidly between art and craft, between landscape and object, to create woven and printed textiles, artworks, and films that speak of place and process.
Every collection begins with something found: a walk, a mark, a piece of bark, a trace in the soil. These small moments become patterns – layered, stitched, and printed onto cloth – forming a quiet dialogue between the land and the hand that makes.
At Studio BudgeBudge, we explore the beauty of slow design – where place and process meet.
‘Together, we explore the language of marks – playing, layering, and transforming them into patterns and designs across a range of surfaces. We love creating beautiful things that hold meaning and bring quiet joy.
Each piece is made with care and intention, using thoughtfully chosen materials and an attention to detail that reflects our shared values. Everything we make is something we would want to live with ourselves – to hold, to wear, to display, and to treasure.’
